    The Talent Acquisition Specialist position exists to source, recruit and select staff to fulfill talent acquisition needs for the organization. Schedules newly hired Behavior Technicians for cases and shifts. This includes: creatively sourcing, interviewing, assessing, and selecting of qualified candidates, as well as coordinating outreach efforts area high schools, colleges and universities to select top notch candidates.

    1. Works with internal customers (Clinical Directors/Lead Therapists/Clinical Supervisors/Senior Staff) to learn of staffing needs in various areas. Actively participates in weekly staffing update meetings.
    2. Effectively utilizes applicant tracking system (ATS) to post positions on CAH website and related external websites. Utilizes ATS to track and update candidates, review and screen candidates, document candidate disposition, and generate reports.
    3. Seeks out new and creative ideas to proactively attract candidates. This may include: social media posts, resume mining, outreach efforts, college recruitment, career fairs, website postings, special recruiting events, and other advertisements.
    4. Engages in community outreach efforts to promote CAH as an employer of choice. Participates in career fairs and special recruiting events in conjunction with Clinical Staff.
    5. Monitors candidate flow on a regular basis for each position to strategize appropriate and cost efficient sourcing methods.
    6. Screens, selects, and schedules candidates to interview. Conducts interviews and makes selection decisions. Strives to meet diversity hiring and affirmative action goals.
    7. Generates communications with candidates such as offer and rejection correspondence.
    8. Communicates with Clinical Staff regarding hires made and provides new hire contact information.
    9. Schedules new hires for New Employee Orientation (NEO) and conducts NEO as needed.  
    10. Coordinates the completion of new hire paperwork. Ensures thorough, accurate, and timely submission of new hire paperwork.
    11. Conducts new hire check-ins to proactively address any issues or concerns that the employees may be experiencing.
    12. Processes employee separations and conducts exit interviews. In partnership with HR Team and Clinic Management, seeks out ways to resolve turnover.
    13. Strives to provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers, understanding the important role that human resources plays in the success of the organization. Continually seeks out ways to meet or exceed customer needs.
    14. Documents HR policies and procedures.
    15. Ensures compliance to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
    16. Conducts department audits when needed.
    17. Answers employee inquiries as they arise.
    18. Seeks out process improvements and overall efficiencies within the HR department.
    19. Assists with other HR related projects and processes as requested.
    20. Consistent and regular attendance is a requirement of the position.

    Non-Essential Functions/Other Duties:

    1. Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibility: Not applicable.


    Travel Required: Frequently, to participate in off-site recruiting events. Use of personal vehicle is required.


    Physical Demands:

    This is largely a sedentary role, with frequent sitting and computer keyboarding required. Employee will be required to sit, talk, hear, type and write. Occasional bending, squatting, stooping, and lifting (up to 35 pounds) are required.




    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business and/or Human Resources discipline is required.
    • Actively participates human resources/recruiting related groups to keep current with laws and practices.


    • At least two years of previous recruiting/staffing related experience in a fast-paced, high volume, metrics driven recruiting environment is required. Proven experience utilizing creative sourcing strategies.
    • Previous experience utilizing HR technologies such as applicant tracking systems, skype, video interviewing, etc.

    • Proven experience in building relationships and networking to brand and recruit in surrounding communities.
    • Understanding of applicable employment related laws and regulations.

    • Strong keyboarding and computer skills to include MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher).

    • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and practices.
    • Ability to abide by ethical guidelines and policies, including strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines. 


    • Must be 18 years old or older.
    • Must be able to pass a thorough background check.
    • Must possess valid driver’s license and provide proof of auto insurance.
